Formación
Inició su formación a los cinco años en la Escuela de Danza Mainumby en Encarnación, Paraguay, donde dio sus primeros pasos en la disciplina y el lenguaje del ballet. Su talento precoz lo llevó a ser seleccionado en audición para la Escuela de Ballet de Moscú en Argentina (Posadas), institución en la que obtuvo una beca de formación completa durante cinco años, consolidando una técnica rigurosa basada en la tradición académica del ballet ruso.
Reconocimientos Internacionales
Su proyección internacional se afirmó tempranamente en escenarios de alto nivel competitivo. Fue reconocido en la Valentina Kozlova International Ballet Competition en Nueva York, donde obtuvo distinción como ganador y fue beneficiado con becas de perfeccionamiento en Rusia, Cuba, Puerto Rico y Bélgica, ampliando así su formación en contextos artísticos de excelencia global.
Continuó su desarrollo profesional en Europa, ingresando a la Brussels International Ballet School en Bélgica, donde se graduó como bailarín profesional. Durante este período, fue invitado a participar en galas internacionales en Italia, Francia y España, integrándose activamente en la escena europea de la danza.
Competencias de Prestigio
Su carrera competitiva incluye participaciones y reconocimientos en algunas de las competencias más prestigiosas del mundo, como el Tanzolymp International Ballet Competition en Alemania, el Korea International Dance Competition en Seúl, el Youth America Grand Prix en Barcelona, el International Ballet Competition Mia Čorak Slavenska en Croacia y el Varna International Ballet Competition en Bulgaria. En el Prix de Lausanne (Suiza, 2018), alcanzó la instancia de finalista, siendo distinguido entre los mejores clasificados y consolidándose como uno de los primeros bailarines paraguayos en lograr este nivel de reconocimiento internacional.
Carrera Profesional
Desde 2018, integra el elenco del English National Ballet en Londres, una de las compañías más importantes del mundo, donde se desempeña como bailarín solista, interpretando roles de figura principal y papeles principales en producciones de repertorio clásico y contemporáneo de alto nivel artístico.
Proyectos y Legado
Paralelamente a su carrera en escenario, es fundador de MaidanArte, una plataforma internacional dedicada a la creación, producción y desarrollo de proyectos escénicos entre Sudamérica y Europa, orientada a la formación, circulación y expansión del arte.
Asimismo, es cofundador junto a su hermana y su madre, Sara Maidana y Zully Maidana de la Maidana Academy of Ballet, fundada en 2021, un espacio dedicado a la formación de nuevas generaciones de bailarines bajo estándares de excelencia técnica, disciplina artística y visión internacional.

Miguel Ángel Maidana is a Paraguayan dancer from Encarnación with an international career, trained across Paraguay, Argentina, and Europe. His trajectory positions him as one of the most solid emerging figures in classical and contemporary ballet of his generation.
Training
He began his training at age five at the Mainumby Dance School in Encarnación, Paraguay, where he took his first steps in ballet discipline and language. His early talent led him to be selected through audition for the Moscow Ballet School in Argentina (Posadas), where he received a full scholarship for five years, consolidating rigorous technique based on the Russian academic ballet tradition.
International Recognition
His international projection was established early on high-level competitive stages. He was recognized at the Valentina Kozlova International Ballet Competition in New York, where he was distinguished as a winner and benefited from advanced training scholarships in Russia, Cuba, Puerto Rico, and Belgium, thus expanding his training in contexts of global artistic excellence.
